Digital Media Project
The Digital Media Project aims to resolve emerging and outstanding problems revealed by recent social and technological change. A simple shift of format – the transition from hard-copy objects like vinyl records to digitized bits of information like MP3s – has prompted an upheaval of business models, legal principles, and social practices associated with the use, distribution, and control of media. This upheaval has created a void in the digital media world, a void that policymakers, industry representatives, and consumers are scrambling to fill with new laws and technological solutions.
The goal of the Digital Media Project is not to advance a simple agenda but instead to help educate stakeholders – government officials, the media, artists, businesspeople, and the public at large – about the choices and values that can guide law and technology to maximize the potential of digital media for the years ahead.

Reasons for doing advertisement
First of all, I’m really interested in the video production class, I would like to do something more than a short documentary. Second, the whole project will included shooting film (video production), design (visual communication & digital story telling), and the idea is from digital media society point of view.

Ideas about final project
I would like to do some public service advertisements for my final project. For example , healthy life style, which how modern technology influence our lives. I will do two advertisements for children and adults about healthy life style. And there will be two posters for them.

Typography- something I start paying attention
We watched a film about typography on Friday. I thought I would fall asleep, but I didn’t(I was supprised too). I never realized these small things have so many storys. After that I start paying attention on typography, then I find it’s actually amzing, and it’s not something small at all ! It’s everywhere ! On my way home, I saw 9 signs for apartment selling or letting in 4 different typography. And there are nearly 40 shops probably in 40 different typography. I can’t believe I never noticed these before. I mean I know there are difference, but I never knew how. The more I learn about it , the more interesting I find in it . That’s remind me when I was in primary school in China. We start learning how to write. I always admire our teacher can write fast and beautiful, sometimes in different fonts as well. And I love practice all the time even just on the table with my fingure, maybe just one word in different fonts over and over again. Even though English and Chinese are two completely different languages, but they have all the same nature. Like English , Chinese has lots of fonts as well, maybe even more complicated typography . As a Chinese learner, I’m happy and excited to know the similar of them.

Work Hard!!
It’s been a few weeks since I started college. The fun part is gone, and it’s getting more and more difficult. Maybe it’s not that bad for the people who has some experience, but for me who is totally new on this course, there is a lot to learn. Hope I can pull it all together. Work harder and harder!!

Happy Mid-autumn Day!!
It’s a big Festival in China today. It’s called Mid-Autumn Day. And all the family will get together , have dinner, then sit at the back garden watch the moon together. It’s a family festival, and a romantic festival. It’s a pity I cann’t spend this lovely moment with my family, but I wish everyone will enjoy it. And same to you guys too!!Season’s greetings and sincere wishes for a bright and happy Mid-autumn day!

Lovely Weekend
Hi, guys. How was your weekend? I had a lovely one. I cann’t even rember how long ago I had my last weekend off. Anyway, I visited my friends , did some shopping , and had a good rest.I really enjoyed it!!
On friday, we had Video Production. It was excellent. I’m so happy that I chose this class. It was my first time touch a professional camera, I love it !! And at the end , we got a chance to have a shot outside, it was so interesting. I cann’t wait for the next class.
Second week has started, hope everyone enjoy it!!
